The Architecture of Nothingness
Art is the language of the soul and so is architecture. Throughout ages, it went on to narrate tales of grandeur and might like dear grandmothers. Time has changed. Architecture brings about entered a phase, one that invokes thought and actions. But now again, this phase stands endangered. Nothingness in architecture saw the light and is now on the brim of perishing. It clearly defied the rulebooks of architecture, the anthropometry, the structure, the style- all it did was bring together people with different thoughts. The same place or built form held different meanings conveyed different stories and influenced young minds.
Just like how schools came all the way from spoon-feeding to learning from the surrounding. Architecture took this huge step to bring out the hidden thoughts. Perception came into play once more and had a role to play. Everything was just hidden within nothing. They exist together and take their turns forming one’s perception.
Well, everything and nothing stands all good. Each one’s got their bad side too. Nothingness could linger around and create sadness, loneliness, and weakness. All the good it meant to do could be erased. But with nothing with a pinch of everything, we stand out of this danger.
The world is becoming a cold place. Distance is taking a toll on values, morals and relationships. Nothingness brings everything closer just by striking a difference between how it is when everything is there and absent.
The space picture above could mean nothing to some, everything to some and a clever play of hide n seek by everything in nothing for others. It brings out the calmness, peace, tranquility, and purity of thought. Nothing does not actually mean nothing. It is what we chose to see. There is nothing. There is nothing liquid. There is nothing colourful. There is nothing dark. There is nothing hot. It is all set in the eyes of the beholder.
